Q Loves Detroit: Old Blog, New Site

Welcome back!!

I’m not sure if that was for myself or my audience, but it’s warm welcome. I took a very long break from blogging to work on my procrastinating which was very successful. And I’m not saying that to be sarcastic, the break allowed me time to figure out what I really wanted to do with my life and focus on getting to know where I am artistically. You think that you have everything figured out until something bigger and better comes along. And this first blog is dedicated to Detroit, she’s brought me back to life in a very good way.

Touring the city is something that I do quite often and I suggest you do the same. Every drive around the city there’s always somewhere new to eat, shop and things to do. I’m not just talking about Downtown Detroit or Midtown, I mean in my own neighborhood. And I think it’s about time to let those that can’t get around like me have a chance to know what businesses are growing in their neighborhoods. It’s important that you know who the people are that make a big impact on what you buy, eat and where you sleep. This new venture will showcase and spotlight Detroit’s best and brightest. In order for me to be successful is for you (Detroiter’s) to be successful.

Q Loves Detroit, is a blog dedicated to showing off small businesses, service providers and artist in Detroit. It’s time that we work together and support one another. If you’re providing any type of service or business in the city, let’s work together. I’m not just offering you exposure but an opportunity to tell how this city has shaped you and why you decided to start a business where others has fled. We need more people like you or to inspire those that don’t think they can do it and I feel we should do this together.

Each post will feature not just places to go and things to do, but also that people that make this city exactly what it is…..absolutely amazing. And yes, I’ve lived in inner city Detroit my whole life so I know what everyone says about us but even weeds grow. The truth is there is no other city like Detroit, you can try to move but your heart will always be here and I’m sure you’ll find your way back. But until then, I’m going to show you what you’re missing out on.

Q Loves Detroit and my mission is to make you love it too…
